About The Cautiously Optimistic Teacher, Dylan Callens
Welcome to The Cautiously Optimistic Teacher!
I’m Dylan Callens, the mind and heart behind this space dedicated to educators and learners alike. With 20 years of experience in the education field, I’ve worn many hats. I now teach English, History, and Social Science, but I have also spent several years teaching computer programming and media. I’m proud to be an accredited teacher and a member of the Ontario College of Teachers.
The Cautiously Optimistic Teacher is a community where educators can find inspiration, share insights, and grow together. We believe in the power of education to transform lives, and we’re here to support teachers in their mission to ignite every student’s learning spark.
